The Leeds Carnegie Rugby Club was created in 1992 from the amalgamation of Headingley (founded in 1877) and Roundhay (founded in 1924) Rugby Clubs. The Carnegie name was taken from the 2007/8 season as The Leeds Carnegie University took a major share in the club which had previously been known as Leeds Tykes. They play their homes games at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, St Michael's Lane, Headingley, Leeds, North Yorkshire. The ground is also home to the Leeds Rhinos Rugby League side. Although Leeds only have a short history they already have a proud record and have been in and out of the English top flight.

Leed's Jerseys

Leeds play their home games in white shirts with a blue and gold band. The shirt has been worn by some well known names in the games such as: Japie Mulder, Dan Crowley, Mark Regan, Iain Balshaw, Steve Bachop, Baraam van Straaten, Wendell Sailor, Simon Easterby, Andre Snyman and Justin Marshall. The shirt also featured in winning the Powergen Cup in 2005. It is worth noting that in the days of Headingly and Roundhay the clubs provided some Forty internationals, with perhaps the best known being Peter Winterbottom, Ian McGeechan and Chris Rea who played for Headingley. Brian Moore played for Roundhay before he moved down to Nottingham and was selected for England.
