The club has not achieved any high honours in Italy apart from their place in the super league since winning the Italian Championships in 1950, 1955 and 1957. They did have a momentous moment of fame though when beating Newport Gwent 24-15 for a Heineken Cup playoff place that meant they qualified for the season 2006-7 Cup.
