Montpellier Hérault founded 1986

Montpellier Hérault Rugby Club is one of the younger teams in the French rugby union. They were founded in 1986 from the merger of Stade Montpelliérain and MUC Rugby. With their home being Montpellier in Southern France in the Languedoc-Roussillon region they are in one of the best weather areas for playing fast attractive rugby.

Stade Sabathé

Montpellier Hérault play their home games at Stade Sabathé, Rue St Cléophas, 34070 Montpellier, Languedoc-Roussillon, with a capacity of only 6,500 yet another of the smaller stadiums that will struggle to contain the ever increasing band of rugby supporters.

Shirts colours of Montpellier Hérault

Montpellier Hérault wear blue and white shirts with blue shorts and socks for their home games and white and blue shirts with blue shorts and white socks for the away games. The shirt has yet to feature in any top honours in France, but they did win the European Shield in 2004.
